Our Public Education Program (PEP) allows MLGW the opportunity educate adults and children on the utility industry through a variety of forums such as newsletters, community and classroom presentations, Career-on-Wheels participation, Water Pumping Station tours, special conferences and more.
We also participate in an array of fairs and exhibitions in the Memphis and Shelby County area. Through participation in community fairs and exhibits, MLGW is able to heighten the awareness in the community about utilities as well as talking with customers about their concerns.

In the Community
MLGW's bike riding team, the MLGW Power Riders, hit the pavement early Sunday morning, June 23 in support of Ride for Life, a fundraiser for the MId-South Transplant Foundation. Riding several distances, the Power Riders and other bike riders pedaled from Memorial Park into Midtown, down Cooper Avenue where a water and refreshment station was waiting, back out Central Avenue and Shady Grove and back to Memorial Park. It was all to benefit the Mid-South Transplant Foundation. View the entire photo album on MLGW's Flickr. |
