Memphis Light, Gas and Water works closely with the Greater Memphis Chamber to help foster economic development in the community. In fact, MLGW's Economic Development department has housed with the Chamber since 1979. Every day, MLGW's staff works side-by-side with the Chamber staff on existing business retention and expansion, prospect development and business research. MLGW is the largest contributor to the Chamber's economic development program.
